You still miss our point that the facility has been created to allow this to happen. It is something that many clubs and players wanted and it is something County Committee (the clubs) supported at the meeting on Monday. Now it's over to those clubs that want to take part to come together to make it happen. Maybe divisional boards could appoint a facilitator, but that's all they can do. Ultimately the only way this can happen is for clubs to make it happen. The provisional fixtures are out with clubs now. It is highly likely and inevitable that some players might be affected by fixtures being in close proximity. It is simple impossible to try to accommodate every individual player and club. Again though, if clubs and players want it to happen, then it will happen.

We not certain that you should assume that they can't play. These matters would be under provincial council control and we are not sure what Ulster's regulations are. The rest is ifs and buts and not something we want to surmise about.

Clubs can enter whatever championship they wish and unless County Committee take steps to define what championship a club wants to participate in, then this practice will continue. The "divisional board" football teams for senior championship was not given any serious consideration.

There you go again - "nobody" and "a person" etc. This opportunity has been presented to non-senior championship clubs to allow some of their players to participate in the senior championship. The fact that these teams are drawn from divisional board areas is purely arbitrary and was simply a suggestion to facilitate this process. It wasn't promoted by divisional boards, it was simply a suggestion to try to encourage clubs to take up this opportunity. Now just what is there to stop those eligible clubs from getting together and organising this among themselves? That's right - nothing. Imposing a manager, coaches, etc simply wont work. Typically, you are already prepared to blame poor old "somebody/nobody/someone/noone" for not doing this. We would suggest that "you" get off your butt and do something about it then!

It's entirely up to those clubs not playing in the senior championship to organise this among themselves. This notion that "somebody" will do this or "someone" will do that is typical of attitudes that are pervasive in the GAA. We don't know of any person who goes by the name of "somebody", he or she doesn't exist and neither does "someone". However, there are plenty of "I"(s) and "we"(s) who keep looking for "somebody" or "someone". But they will never find them - they don't exist!

This will be posted in due course, but you should give up this one-man vendetta because you are wrong. Have you nothing better to do other than pursue some personal disagreement with somebody on this website, or elsewhere for that matter?

The simple fact of life is that these clubs are involved in intermediate and junior championships, in competition with one another! What you are saying, if I read your comments correctly, is that the current situation is that regional teams have been entered in the senior championship, yet there is no formal structure, no formal guidance on how these teams should be organised and run?
Its a simple fact that SOMEBODY has to organise this thing, yet at the moment NOBODY has been given any direction on this. Is this how is currently stands, or could anyone clear these things up a bit?? It needs to be clarified, and the whole process needs to be clearly outlined.
While this is a fantastic notion, and should, if correctly administered, enhance our senior championship, it will be a shambles unless it is correctly run! Will, for example the scheduling take into consideration that some players will be involved in 2 championships, or will we have a situation where a player plays Intermediate championship for say Tir na nOg on Saturday, and Senior championship for SW Antrim on Sunday?? If so, then clubs or regional teams may feel disadvantaged by this.
These are issues that need to be addressed Mr Moderator. These are real life issues, and need to be considered and clarified if this notion is to be a success!! You may feel like replying with a typical "here we go again, knocking a good idea" response. But that would be failing to recognise the potential hazards and pitfalls that an excellent idea - poorly administered - would bring. I want to see this succeed as much as you undoubtedly do, but I'm just wondering how much thought and planning was really put into all of this
