Davitts have not progressed past the first round of the Intermediate Championship for the past number of years. And they were also relegated from Div 2 last year. I can see why they chose to enter the JFC. They seem to be going backwards and obviously are not up to the standards of the higher grade. Any team that wishes to make progress and develop their skills on the field and wins a lower championship should automatically been entered into the higher standard e.g. Junior to Intermediate and Intermediate to Senior.

How did the meeting go then? When the fixtures starting up?

This was a preliminary and constructive meeting and further discussions need to take place. As soon as these issues are dealt with we will be posting relevant information.

Had to surf the wb to find out if your organisation had a web site. I was equally amazed and devastated to find one so well presented. Anyway thats because i am a ??? OK. No need to worry. Just wanted to know if your organisation still had plans to play a one of exhibition game at Ravenhill in Febrary against a select Ulster rugby team.

Unbeleivable some of the rumours and rubbish people hear. Don't know where you got that from, but it has no foundation in fact whatsoever.

In the football Kerry divisional sides aren't allowed into Munster. They've to run off two championships.

Looking at it south belfast could be in with a shout if the right application is put in.

At our dinner dance this year the county chairman stood up and wished us the best of luck in our all ireland campaign, he also told us that anything we needed from the county board we were to ask, move forward a few weeks, Ruairi Og are running a draw to help deal with the costs of an all ireland campaign, we found out kilkenny were coming to casement and we thought, what an excelent opportunity to shift some tickets, we contact the county board to seek permission and low and behold, we get turned down. The county board may think again if they think I, any of my family or many of my friends will ever put our hands in our pockets again to buy a saffron sweep ticket!!

Maybe you ought to get the full facts before you start lambasting anyone on this site. At least we went to the effort of making sure we have got our facts right. It has been long established that no club or organisation is permitted to sell tickets inside Casement Park when any match is going on. That was a decison taken by the County officers years ago and was the decison taken for this request too. St John's Camogie Club had the very same request refused for this match. Many other clubs and organisations have had the same requests refused in the past and it is quite obvious why this is the case. Now, as for selling tickets outside the ground - that's another matter and nothing to do with "The County Board". Since you are so "well-informed" then, you will also know that the County Chairman has personally supported this fund-raising campaign and in fact has bought 3 tickets for it. Maybe you should have checked these things before posting this here and also presumably spreading malicious half-truths around Cushendall. One thing we are certain of. Your own club officials will probably now be pretty embarrassed by this attempt to malign the County Chairman!
