Whats the latest on the league fixtures. Any indication of when they will be up?

There has to be another meeting of County Committee first and no date for this has been set. However, your club will have the provisional fixtures and few changes to that will occur.

Is it true that there's still no Minor Hurling management? IF there isn't, what is the proceedure for applying?

This is not true as a candidate is now proposed.

If it was easy; no negativity; no criticism it wouldn't be worth doing! People opt to be in these situations because they see the challenge; the hills to be climbed. There are so many people doing difficult jobs and they volunteer to do them! They may never get to the top of 'that hill'- but the satisfication is in the trying!

Are Antrim hurlers playing Cushendall at casement tomorrow night and if so, what time at? Thanks

Never heard anything her, but that doesn't mean that this is not occurring.

But 'sailing a bit close to wind' is not a rational reason to substitute him - worst case scanario Sean would have received a yellow and would have been substituted anyway!

That's a manager's decision and is up to him. There is always plenty of people who want to advise managers. Different thing when people are being asked to step up to the mark though.

Was at the game today and while I admit that i left the ground disgusted and disappointed due to another capitulation to weak opposition, having had time to think about it I agree there are many positives to take from it.

some of the inter play was excellent just need to work on the final pass/shot, but that is down to making good decisions and will hopefully improve with competitive games in the coming weeks.

the much maligned Aodhan Gallagher really stepped up and took some great high balls late in the match when we needed a strong midfield and Loughrey took some great scores too.

Young McGourty looked disgusted after the game throwing his gloves dramatically to the ground and we need passion like that in our players. He is a great prospect just needs to learn he cant score from every angle!

Overall it was encouraging and the lads showed great spirit at the end. The crowd while sparse was vocal and I have to give huge plaudits to the wiclow fans who made a long journey to support their team and made for a great atmosphere in the stand.

Lets hope we can kick on from here, all we are missing is a commanding full back and better decision making in the final third.

Wee tip for the guys in casement though, it was fecking freezing today if you set up a stall outside the social club selling teas and coffees you would make a killing!!!!

There was a lot to be positive about today, first half especially. While the breeze was against us we took some great points. Maybe had the penalty gone in at the end of the first half Antrim would have been out of sight by then.

But I suppose when you lose a lead - twice - through goals against the run of play, and still dont lose, then there is something toi build on.

no point our PRO castigating the low turnout of supporters. In fact I thought the crowd in the stand was decent enough; but in the end people make a choice, and its their choice, whether to go or not. Good perfomances and wins will get the crowds through the gate.

Don't think he was "castigating" supporters, more commenting that the attendance was disappointing - which it was!

just a mention bout antrim senior team 2day definitlry an improvement, but why change something which isnt broke, sean mcveigh full back solid today change it then concede 3 goals, bit of a mistake like.. all in all good improvemnt

Might it have something to do with him having had a black card and "sailing a bit close to the wind"?

What we constantly look for in life is largely what we will come to see. And so those who would spoil the view, both for themselves and for others, will always be at the ready to criticise and condemn, almost without even looking.
We could do well to take heart from the genius of Oscar Wilde who said ''we are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars''.
Throughout the width and breath of our county, Antrim County, we have our fair share of potential winners; talented, enthusiastic Gaels, longing for a greater share of all Ireland spoils.
We have much work yet to do, granted, but above all else our players and mentors need evidence of encouragement and support so that they might be motivated to perform at at the highest level possible. As such this does not suggest that we should ignore those situations where repeating errors are evident. Improvement is both necessary and paramount to greater achievment. However, the weight of constant criticism levied against our Mentors and players in turn, can have the affect of a mill stone and thereby add to the number of hurdles which must be overcome in order to achieve success on the field of play.I would ask others to lo0ok for the good in our county - encourage our players and mentors to strive for success. competitive games are the very stuff of Gaelic games - when we regularly strive and produce competitive games the wins will follow as day follows night. Success is a journey, made longer and more difficult by being overweight in terms of negativity . Lawrence Smyth. County PRO.

You can all stick up for antrim to the death like you do on this message board every week admin, but the true fact is that this county can be runned terribly ?????

Just learned to my surprise that the home of Antrim GAA, Casement Park, is unable to screen tonights opening National League match and 125 anniversary celebrations due to it being on Setanta, a station they do not have access to. I fully appreciate the amount setanta charge and therefore do not blame the social club or the County, was just thinking maybe our collegues in the GAA at a higher level could sort the bill as a one off, after all they're spending half a million on fireworks!!......just a thought!

Congratulations to Pearses who won the Ulster Final of the Irish-language quiz on Friday night. They will now represent Ulster in the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park on St Patrick's Day. The quiz was a great success for Antrim Gaels with Con Magees coming third and St Enda's sixth. Around 16 teams from Ulster participated in the final which was held in Eglish.

And so say all of us.
