I hope the CCC finally comes to its senses and increases the league sizes for div 1 & 2 and only allows div 1 teams to play senior championship. 18 games are too many especially when a chunk of them are non-events.

If these leagues were increased in size there would be more than 18 games and CCC do not have the authority to increase or decrease the size of All County Leagues, only the clubs at Convention or County Committee have that power. CCC administer the decisions of the clubs.

Is the possibility of the restructuring of the Senior Football Leagues on the agenda at Thursdays meeting? Or is the set up remaining the same as was posted on the website last month?

Only asking as a lot of rumour among clubs and other websites about Div 3 & 4 possibly merging into one league

The amalgamation of Div 3&4 will be discussed at the upcoming County Committee meeting next Monday night.

All the pancakes have been ate and still no sniff of league fixtures. Is it possible these can be provided to clubs/players at the earliest opportunity?

Fixtures dictate the schedules of many players holidays/ weddings etc, and fundraisers and events for clubs. The earlier these are issued the better for all concerned.

CCC meeting this Thursday. Information will be released to clubs after this meeting.

Sometimes I listen or hear discussions or heated debates on Radio programmes about our culture and their culture.
There are a lot of misconceptions. In hurling we have a unique product that thousands in Northern Ireland have never seen. Of course there are barriers , fears etc which keep them away from matches etc. That is how it is. Many of us work with collagues who have never been to say a hurling game.
Would it be an idea to have some game- some where in the County that we could promote and invite those who have never been before?
Then on the back of this we could promote hurling as one of those must see things for tourists to say the Glens.
There are hundreds of thousands go to see the stones at the Causeway -
I think we have a brilliant product ..
What do you think?

A good idea. Marketing our games needs to be improved. Something to be done.

With the Ulster U21 Football Championship just around the corner was wondering is there any news on the squad - has a final squad been picked, have they been involved in any games etc. Would be interested to hear anything. Thanks.

The u21 football squad have played two games in the Shamrock Cup over the past several weeks. Both Tyrone and Monaghan recorded wins against Antrim.

XXXX Senior hurling team is currently looking for a Manager. If you are interested please contact the Secretary secretary.xxxxantrim@gaa.ie

Not a forum for advertising. Surely clubs have the means to notify their members internally. Certainly not a forum for seeking the services of paid coaches.

How much does it cost a club to enter into league competitions and must all players be insured?.
What happens if a club fails to pay required fee if one exists

Clubs do pay competition entry fees and all players must be covered under the GAA scheme. If a club fails to pay they don't play.

I am a club football manager and I am getting increasingly annoyed that there are no fixtures out.trying to plan training schedules, friendly matches etc is turning into a nightmare because in the last 6 months the county board cannot do they there job

Wednesday 8th April will be the first football league fixtures. 6 months brings us back to August. Looking to blame others already for performances before a ball is kicked?

Even though they are too good for intermediate and shouldn't be in the competition, it would be nice to see Rossa win tomorrow. Good luck.

P.s. We desperately need some rule regarding some if the competition entries in the future. It's unfair on the clubs who are genuinely at a certain level.

I am sure that all Rossa people appreciate your genuine best wishes
