EDITOR'S WELCOME

Antrim Youth Officer - Tony McCollum Failte to the Christmas / New Year issue of Saffron Óg!

Once again we had a great response to our competition in the last issue to name both our mascots and I'd like to thank everyone who entered.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS!

HURLING & FOOTBALL MASCOTS WERE NAMED BY;

Cormac Jennings, Ciaran McPoland and Kevin Flynn

They each win an exclusive Saffron Óg Antrim Polo Shirt.

Our new mascots have now been coloured to closely match the winning entries in the colouring competition, and their names are;

Hurling - SETANTA
Football - FINN

We have introduced an Irish article in this Issue of Saffron Óg, and this will be the first of many hopefully, to help you all to learn about our native language.

There are more competitions to enter this month, with great prizes on offer once again - so please let's have lots of entries.

If YOU would like to write to us with your views on Saffron Óg, or to send in jokes, reports on games you have played, or any stories connected with Gaelic Games, please send them to;
