Motions for Convention 2014
Motion 1
That rule 7.5 (TO) which currently states;
The penalty for illegal participation while under a term or match suspension shall be
• For a member / player : 24 weeks suspension
• For a team playing a suspended player
(a) Arising from a proven objection – award of game to opposition
(b) Arising from an inquiry by the council or committee-in –charge: forfeiture of the game without award of the game to the opposing team or fine within the discretion of the council or committee-in –charge and depending on the circumstances
Be revised to;
24 weeks for over 18years old, 8 weeks for a player up to minor grade and 8 weeks for a manager
Clann na hEireann.
Motion 2
Property and Public liability Insurance costs to each club in the county should be pro rata to the following;
Claims history- Social facilities, playing facilities. The points system should be revised to ensure the maximum weighting is levied to the clubs who incur the highest pay-out.

That the Senior and Senior reserve hurling leagues be a 2 way league in 2015

At the end of the 2015 season the divisions 1,2,3 & 4 of the Antrim Hurling leagues revert back to 8 team leagues playing home and away with 2 up and 2 down each year

That the Senior and senior reserve hurling leagues become an 8 team format. This would be a 2 way league in 2017 with 2 up and 2 down. To achieve this in both 2015 and 2016 - 2 teams would be relegated to Div 2 but only 1 team would be promoted from Div 2

That all county league competitions at u16, u18 and reserve in both football and Hurling can be played with a minimum of 13 players.
If one team only has 13 the opposition has to play with 13 to match them
If one team only has 14 the opposition has to play with 14 to match them
If both teams have 15 players then they play 15 a side

That the fines imposed for teams failing to field in an adult competition be changed to:
Adult League competitions £100
Adult Championships £ 200
The rule regarding disqualification for repeat offences would remain

Amalgamation of clubs at under age should not be limited to 3 clubs but should instead be limited to a number of available players, at that age group, between the clubs wishing to amalgamate

That the Senior Reserve Hurling cup be played during the summer months (June to August)

That the Reserve Cup in Hurling be graded on the league positions at a specified date by CCC (probably the end of August)

That the u21 football championship be scheduled to run from the last week in May to the last week in June

That the Ruairi Og proposal passed at convention in 2009, allowing 2 Senior graded players to play in reserve league games – be adopted into the County league regulations.
