The Leinster CCC has confirmed arrangements, and outcomes, of the Round Robin Section of the SHC as per attached schedule.
It also confirmed that the two Quarter Final games viz., Galway v Laois/Antrim and Wexford v Laois/Antrim will be played as a double-header in Portlaoise on Sunday 1st June 2014. The order of the games will be decided after next Sunday's final series of Round Robin fixtures.
GAMES TO COME:
Saturday 24th May -Westmeath v London
Sunday 25th May -Laois v Antrim
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
• Top Team plays Wexford on 1.6.2014
• Second Team plays Galway on 1.6.2014
• Team in Third Place – season completed and they remain in Round Robin for
next year
• Fourth team plays Christy Ring Cup winners in a Promotion/Relegation Play Off
• Fifth team is relegated to Christy Ring Cup for 2015.
THEREFORE:
• If Laois win, or draw, on Sunday next they play Wexford in Quarter Final and
Antrim play Galway
• If Antrim win they play Wexford and Laois play Galway
• If Westmeath win then London are relegated and Westmeath play Christy Ring winners in Play Off
• If London win then Westmeath are relegated and Carlow play Christy Ring
winners in Play Off
• If London and Westmeath draw, then Westmeath are relegated and London
play Christy Ring Winners in Play Off
