When our U-21 hurling stars step out onto the Semple Stadium pitch in Thurles this Saturday, they create another little piece of history for Antrim hurling and take another step forward in the journey to put us among the top hurling counties in Ireland. We know that the preparations for the semi-final were less than perfect but we won the game, not on luck but on merit - we were a better team on the day than Wexford. A repeat of that performance will leave us in a strong position in Thurles.
Anyone who has watched the progress of our young hurlers in recent times must see a bright future for Antrim. Great work is being done and everyone in Club Aontroma has been lifted by these efforts. We will re-double our efforts to raise the funds necessary to continue to develop our games in this great county.
To Kevin and the boys, we wish you all the luck in the world. We are already extremely proud of you - go on and make us prouder!!
