Football championships underway

A feast of championship football action this weekend

Attention is focussed this weekend on the football championships which get underway across all 3 grades.

The action throws in on Friday night. In the JFC when Davitts take on Pearses at Rossa, throw in 715pm. At the same time, in Randalstown St James take on Creggan in the SFC.

Ahoghill hosts a double bill on Saturday, first in action in the IFC is Portglenone V Dunloy, followed at 7.30pm by Rasharkin V Randalstown at 730pm. At 6pm at St Teresas Naomh Una play Ballycastle.

There is another double header at Lamh Dhearg on Sunday, with St Teresas V Gort na Mona in the IFC at 12.45pm with last years finalists in the SFC, St Johns and St Galls renewing acquaintance at 2.15pm.

At St Paul’s the JFC grade sees Eire Og v McDermotts at 2pm, at the same time Glenravel V Aghagallon takes place at Moneyglass in the IFC.

The action continues in Creggan on Sunday evening with St Josephs V Ballymena in the IFC at 5pm, with the last game of the weekend Cargin V Ahoghill in the SFC at 7pm.
