Antrim Chairman has praised the generosity shown by All Ireland winner Joe Brolly, a member of St Brigids club who donated a kidney to clubmate Shane Finnegan.
“For years now Joe has been a prominent figure in Antrim GAA circles and he always gives his time to charitable events etc, but this act of humanity, and generosity, goes way beyond anything I have heard of before. Having said that I am not surprised, it is the kind of GAA man he is.
“We on the Antrim Board wish both men well. Shane comes from a strong GAA family and his brothers Greg and Donagh both represented Antrim footballers in the past. Let’s hope that both men make a full and speedy recovery. They have the best wished of all Antrim gaels.”
