Loughgiel Shamrocks 1.11, Cuchullians Dunloy, 1.7
Reigning Antrim and all Ireland champions retained their Antrim title last night at a well attended and exciting county hurling final. Both sides were guilty of too many wides, with Dunloy in particular missing a series of first half chances.
In the second period Dunloy managed only 3 points which wasn’t going to be enough against Loughgiel. The champions pulled away in the last few minutes to run out 4 point winners. They now move onto the next stage of their Ulster and All Ireland campaign.
