Former Antrim hurling manager Jim Nelson has agreed to join the hurling management team for the remainder of this season. The recommendation was put to the County Committee this evening by Chairman Jim Murray and the County Executive, and was unanimously approved.
Jim Murray welcomed the development.
"Jim Nelson is an Antrim hurling stalwart who is a county man through and through. He didn't hesitate to come forward when we approached him and I know the players will be delighted to have him on board. Jim will join the backroom team of Collie McFall and Frankie Quinn. The full focus now is on the upcoming qualifier series and the Ulster Final."
