Antrim stars from across the codes will line up against each other tomorrow night in a Saffron Human Race as part of Club Aontroma’s Night at the Dogs, which is now sold out.

In between the third and fourth races at Drumbo a carefully selected pack of six runners will take to the track in a fun race which will help boost funds for the Antrim Dunsilly project.
James Loughrey and Kevin O’Boyle will represent the resurgent county footballers, former all Star nominee Brian McFall will take part along with two members from the All Ireland junior camogie champions Mairead Graham and Aisling Jackson and the final entrant is popular referee Gregory Walsh. Loughrey and O’Boyle are likely to start favourites although a carefully designed handicap system will come in to play!

The Club Aontroma event has now sold out and 300 guests will make their way to Drumbo this evening for an Antrim themed, Night at The Dogs. Club Aontroma Chairman Colm McKenna is delighted with the response.

“We know it is not easy these days for businesses and individuals to stretch themselves once again for the county. However this is our one big event of the year and we are thrilled to be putting up the ‘sold out’ signs in the week leading up the event. There is a very strong desire among Antrim Gaels for the county to be as successful as it can be and that is reflected in the way people have supported this venture. It will be a very enjoyable and a very productive night. I do want to thank our human racers for joining in the spirit of the event and for helping to raise additional funds. I was quite keen to tog out and do the print myself, but unfortunately that event too is already fully subscribed!”
