Among the busy Clar dealt with at Competition Control meeting tonight, was an objection received from Rossa regarding the eligibility of a Sarsfield’s player in their recently played Under 21 championship match.
The matter was also referred to in the referee's report of this game.
The CCC found the objection proven and in accordance with rule, disqualified Sarsfield’s and awarded the game to Rossa. Suspensions have been offered to the player concerned and the manager of the Sarsfield’s team.
Subsequently Rossa suggested that if it was within rule, they would prefer to replay the game with Sarsfield’s. As this was now a separate issue, which is not in breach of rule and precedent had been set in similar circumstances, CCC agreed to allow this suggestion which has been accepted by Sarsfield’s.
This game will be replayed on Saturday next.
