The ‘Strictly Antrim’ Dance Night in Tullyglass House Hotel on Friday night proved to be an outstanding success as Gaelic Footballers, Hurlers and Camogs from the Saffron County strutted their stuff to raise funds for the Camogie Board. Eight couples in all took part in the event and all 16 dancers took to the stage for the opening routine of a 70’s style group dance. Then each couple in turn performed a Salsa routine before leaving the stage.
Hosts for the evening, former Antrim and Rossa hurler, Micky McCullough and the ‘girl’ with the big personality Titty Von Tramp then introduced the couples individually with Baroness Von Tramp adding humour to the event with ‘her’ witty repertoire. Antrim footballer, Tomas McCann and his partner Emma McMullan were first back on stage for the freestyle section and after their routine the guest judges, Antrim Football Manger, Liam Bradley, Irish News Journalist Marie Louise McCrory, former Armagh Camog, Sally Rafferty and Tipperary Hurler, Eoin Kelly were introduced to the audience.
An excellent evening’s entertainment was enjoyed by the packed house who attended with Antrim Camogie being the overall winner and the organisers would like to thank all those who took part, those who attended and those who helped in any way to make the night such a success.
