Antrim Under 21 football -A great win and a job well done lads.

Whilst all the focus may well have been on the Senior football team and the crucial first round win in the Allianz National League, Antrim U21’s clearly did their County proud, in defeating Monaghan in the first round of the Shamrock Cup on Saturday.

To have conceded an early goal and then to have had to dig deep and begin the fight back is particularly encouraging; ultimately that is the hallmark of winning teams.

Antrim is a great place to be right now and the honour of getting to wear a County Jersey has to be well worth the price that has to be paid, in terms of dedication and self-sacrifice. Well done lads and keep up the good work.

Thanks too for the filed match report; this has clearly taken some time and it is great to see it up on the web so that everyone who is interested can follow the progress and sporting career of these talented young Gaels – our senior players in waiting.
