A Chara,
On foot of a request from the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr. Eamon Ó Cuív T.D., Ard Chomhairle recently agreed that a minute of silent reflection should be observed at all GAA events on Sunday May 17th 2009 in memory of those who suffered loss during the Great Famine.
I would ask that you ensure the necessary arrangements are made at all games and other events being staged under your authority on that date and I thank you in advance for your co-operation in this respect.
