Several of our players were chosen to represent the school in Croke Park (Jane McKee, Grainne Campbell, Peter Duffin and Dermot McAleese).

As well as sporting success, the school was also triumphant in the SW Antrim Cumann na mBunscol Quiz.

The culmination of the above successes led to St. Mary’s Portglenone winning the “Irish News Ulster GAA Primary School of the Year-2005”

We furthered this success in December 2005 when we were honoured with the title of “Cumann na mBunscol Irish GAA Primary School of the Year”.
