Walsh Cup

Sean KellyCongratulations to our senior hurlers who defeated Offaly to win the Walsh cup a few weeks ago in Casement Park to become the first team from outside Leinster to win the trophy.

In very poor weather conditions Antrim were behind at the interval by 5 points but a goal from Eddie McCloskey from Loughgiel with 12 minutes to go put the Saffrons in front. Cormac Donnelly from Mc Quillans Ballycastle sealed victory with a late goal

Last weekend Antrim made the long journey to Clare for the Third round of the league after victories over Wicklow and Kilkenny and won on a 1-13 to 0-03 scoreline to maintain their unbeaten record.

Antrim manager Jody Gormley who played for Tyrone in the All Ireland final a few years ago would like all of you to come along to the home games in Casement. The game against Offaly on Saturday 1st March is a top of the table clash under the magnificent Casement floodlights.
