President pays visit to Ballymacward PS, Co Antrim.
GAA President , Liam O'Neill paid a visit to , Ballymacward PS, one of the feeder schools of Lámh Dhearg as part of his visit to schools of host clubs for the forthcoming Ulster GAA Féile na nGael finals in June.
At the Rock PS, Principal Brendan Sadler brought the President on a tour of the small rural school which was very relevant to the President as he is a Principal of a two classroom school in Co Laois. During the visit the President was treated to an exhibition of Hurling and Gaelic from the enthusiastic and proud pupils who play for the Hannahstown club.
The President was also impressed with quality entertainment from the school choir and display of irish dancing by some pupils. The tour concluded with the President presenting an interesting and informative question and answer session.
The visit was huge success with President, staff and pupils enjoying the historic visit. School Principal, Brendan Sadler was delighted with the President's visit, "it was an absolute privilege for our school to have hosted the president's visit and a very proud day for our school and one that staff and pupils will proudly remember.”
