Antrim GAA extend its sympathies to the family of Shane Hourigan, Limerick who died tragically this morning in a car accident.
The inter-county hurling referee, aged 40, was a member of St. Mary’s Seán Finns, Rathkeale Club.
Most recently Shane refereed the AIB All Ireland Intermediate Club semi-final between Rower Inistioge (Kilkenny) and Clooney Gaels (Antirm) yesterday afternoon in Páirc Tailteann, Navan.
“Our thoughts and prayers and those of the wider GAA membership are with his wife Marie, son Shane, mother Ellen, his immediate family and wide circle of friends at this sad time.”
