16 January 2014
Antrim's Paul McKillen has been confirmed as manager of the county minor hurlers for 2014; the Ballycastle man will be joined in the role by selectors Marty Devine from Rossa and Alex Campbell also from Ballycastle.
Paul was a key member of the Antrim team of the late 1980s and early 1990s when Antrim reached one All Ireland final and came close to repeating the feat at least once more. He was part of the senior management team in 2006, and brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Kevin Ryan is already up and running with the senior team, and last year our U21's showed what is possible when they reached the All Ireland final. There was very solid progress with development squads in 2013 and mentors will be working hard to take that further this year as well.
We now have a management team in place across all levels of hurling and everyone in the county is looking forward to a year of progress in 2014.
Best wishes to Paul and his team as they start their year with our minors.
