This Saturday 1st June O Donovan Rossa along with St Pauls will be hosting a feast of juvenile hurling for the Joe McKelvey Cups. Sixteen teams from all over Ireland will descend on Shaws road for this U11 festival of hurling in memory of one of the founding members of O'Donovan Rossa GAC. This is the second year of the tournament and the interest has been so great that we have to increase the number of teams from 8 to 16 with the likes of O Loughlin Gaels from Kilkenny Ballinasole from Galway and St Vincents, Kilmacud Crokes and Parnells from Dublin as well as a number of other teams from all over Ulster. This is a 11 aside tournament, there will be over 250 U11 hurlers in attendance so if you want to see the up and coming stars of tomorrow Rossa Park and St Pauls is the place to be this Saturday morning with the first matches starting at 11am and the finals penciled in for 2.10pm.
To finish off this great day O'Donovan Rossa G.A.C Belfast will be holding a Feile fundraiser for their double winning U14 squad. There will be a quiz in the Hunting Lodge Inn this Saturday 1st June @ 8pm. Your quiz master will be Pasty Hennessy & Eddie Maguire followed by music with Peter Murray. £5 Admission
