Antrim's championship year opened yesterday with a fine win over Westmeath, the team which beat us at the same stage last summer.
The final score was 3.18 to 2.13 with Neil McManus bagging two goals (one from a penalty) and Conor Carson getting one. It was a fast paced game with some great hurling and a very clear determination on the part of Antrim to continue to make progress as a team and squad.
The first round proper of the Leinster Championship V Laois is fixed for Portlaoise on Saturday week, the 18th May at 7pm.
