Antrim's national hurling league campaign got underway today in Limerick where, despite taking the game to the hosts and leading for long stretches of the game, Antrim fell to a one goal loss, 1.19 to 0.19.
The result didn't fairly reflect the game and the hurlers have certainly set a new tone for 2013. The next league game is at home to Dublin on the 10th March. In other Div 1B games this weekend Dublin and Wexford scored wins over Offaly and Carlow respectively.
