Over 200 people attended last night’s talk by GAA historian Donal McAnallen in the Titanic Centre on the history of the Antrim Senior Football team that made history by winning five Ulster titles from 1908 to 1913 and also becoming the one and only team to appear in two All Ireland Senior Football finals in the same year.
Of the teams that represented the county during that period Donal had contacted relatives of sixteen of the players who were there to accept specially commissioned medals which were presented by Ulster GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail. The large attendance were enthralled as Donal related tales of the heroes of a century ago. A very special evening which will be long remembered by those who attended. View Pictures
