Club Maith continues to be the bench-mark all GAA clubs should strive for in order to improve their Club, with positive results both on and off the pitch. Recently Ulster GAA announced that there will now be an "Open Season" in which Clubs can submit their Club Maith Portfolios. "Open Season" takes place from the first Monday in August to the first Friday of December annually. Portfolios cannot be accepted outside of this. It is hoped that this will serve to focus Clubs in becoming accredited, but will also allow Ulster GAA and Club Maith Facilitators to better use their resources.

Ulster GAA recently held training for new and established Club Maith Facilitators. As the number of Portfolio-submissions to Ulster GAA increase so too does the need for additional Facilitators. The training in the Morgan Athletic Grounds on 10th October served to inform the volunteers of the requirements of Club Maith, and what the facilitation process entails.

Ulster President Aogán Ó Fearghail was on-hand recently to present gaels from Stewartstown Harps GAC, Co. Tyrone with their Gold Club Maith accreditation; "Comhairle Uladh continues to champion it's Club Maith scheme and the role it plays in improving all areas of GAA life within clubs. The Stewartstown Harps Club and volunteers are to be congratulated on achieving a Gold award in Club Maith, reflecting the hard-work and commitment which is on-going in the Club
