Joe Brolly and Shane Finnegan are both currently recuperating following the kidney donation surgery that took place on Wednesday 3rd October. Both of them are making good progress and are overwhelmed by the generous support, best wishes and good will they have received over recent days and would like to express their gratitude to all who have supported them and also to those who sent messages of goodwill.
Ulster GAA has been in contact with the families and has been asked to request everyone to respect that both Joe and Shane are in a medical environment during their recuperation and to ask that everyone including the media respect the need for privacy of both Joe and Shane as they recover in the weeks ahead.
There will be media opportunities at a later date and we ask that the privacy of both the Brolly and Finneghan families be respected at this time.
