The Football Review Committee set up by GAA President Liam O'Neill is seeking the views of coaches, players and spectators. See the correspondance below.

HAVE YOUR SAY ABOUT GAELIC FOOTBALL

Dear Coach,

I am the Chairman of the Football Review Committee (FRC) which is a group of nine people set up by GAA President Liam O’Neill. He asked the FRC to carry out an overall assessment of Gaelic football as it stands today and report back to him later this year. He
wants to have a national debate on football so that all interested people can have their say and see if there is a need to make changes. Obviously Coaches are a very important sector of the whole football package.

The FRC is contacting thousands of ordinary people, including players, managers/ coaches, officials, spectators and others interested in football for their views and suggestions by means of a Questionnaire, emails and face-to-face conversations with
people all over Ireland and abroad. We are contacting coaches because everybody who cares about Gaelic football knows the very important role people like you have played at all levels of the game over the past number of years. Coaching brings young people
in particular very close to the game and the views and experiences of coaches are really important in the work of the FRC.

Therefore we are very anxious to have the views of coaches at all levels, young and not so young, so I would ask you to complete the online Questionnaire which you can find on this web site: www.frc.ie. As you will see we are seeking views on club and under-age
football as well as the county teams and your views are particularly important for that. If you would like to send us an email about any particular items regarding football we will be delighted to get them. The address is: frc@gaa.ie and we will read every email we get.

I hope you will make time to fill out our Questionnaire, unless you have already done so, as soon as you get a chance.

Good luck with all your coaching efforts in the years ahead.

Eugene McGee, Chairman, Football Review Committee.
