A hat-trick of Antrim goals in a four-minute spell in the second half of Sunday’s Allianz National Football League Division 3 game at Kingspan Breffni Park saw the Saffrons end their league campaign on a high with a win over hosts Cavan
The visitors had led by 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval after Aodhan Gallagher's 14th-minute goal had put them in front.
James Loughrey, playing in an unfamiliar left-half forward role, fired home a quick salvo of goals in the 40th and 41st-minute minutes to put his side into a 3-4 to 0-6 lead and in complete contror before corner forward Colm Duffin pounced for goal number four.
A good end to the league campaign for Bakers Boys and a big boost for the forthcoming championship clash with Monaghan.
