County Chairman Jim Murray has expressed condolences on behalf of Antrim Gaels at the passing of former Tipperary hurler John Doyle. Doyle, known as 'The Legend' appeared in ten all Ireland finals, winning eight which included a three in a row in 1949, '50 and '51.

Jim said "John Doyle represented his county for 18 years and won every title available in the game. He epitomised the very essence of what it means to represent your county. All Gaels from right across Antrim will be sad to hear of his death and we pass on our condolences to his wife, sons and daughters."
