Belfast Community Sports Development Network (BCSDN), Active Belfast Consortium and Belfast City Council have created new posts through external funding received from Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Public Health Agency.
Both posts are fixed-term contracts initially to 31 March 2011.
Director – Full time, 37hrs per week
Salary: NJC scale PO4, points 41-44, currently £34,549 - £37,206 pa
You will lead, manage and develop BCSDN and lead the implementation of the Active Belfast Consortium Business Plan 2010-2015.
Community Sports Development Officer – 30hrs per week
Salary: NJC scale SO1, points 29-31, currently £24,402 - £26,016 pa (pro rata)
You will manage and deliver programmes under the Active Belfast Consortium business plan, with a particular emphasis on east Belfast.
Active Communities
BCSDN and Belfast City Council have created the following Active Communities posts through funding from Sport Northern Ireland. Active Communities is an investment programme that seeks to employ, deploy and train a network of sports coaches and leaders to deliver activities in community and club settings across Northern Ireland. Active Communities aims to increase participation in sport and physical recreation, especially among under-represented groups.
Active Communities posts are fixed-term contracts to 30 September 2014, subject to confirmation of funding.
BCSDN wish to appoint the following full-time Active Communities coaches:
Full time – 37hrs per week
Salary: NJC scale 4, points 18-21, currently £17,161 - £19,126
AC10/001 – Girls’ soccer coach AC10/006 – Tennis coach
AC10/002 – Soccer coach (people with disabilities)
AC10/007 – Gaelic games coaches - 3 posts
AC10/003 – Rugby coach AC10/008 – Multi-sports coaches – 6 posts
AC10/004 – Athletics coach AC10/010 – Cricket coach
BCSDN also wish to appoint the following part-time Active Communities coaches:
Part time – 18.5hrs per week
Salary: NJC scale 4, points 18-21, currently £17,161 - £19,126 (pro rata)
AC10/009 – Physical activity leaders – 4 posts
AC10/011 – Older and active leader
