I attach for your attention a memo relating to the issue of texting under age players. The memo outlines the GAA's preferences when forwarding information for the attention of our under age players. I hope the contents brings clarity to this issue and I would request that you make the under age mentors in your club aware of its contents. The information outlined in this memo is in line with the GAA Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport - a document that was launched at last year's Congress - and with current best practice in youth sport as promoted by the Irish Sports Council and by statutory child welfare agencies.
