Dear Schools,
I would like to invite your school to participate in an upcoming Gaelic Football blitz that will take place on Wednesday March 10th 2010 at Casement Park Belfast, commencing at 11am sharp. All teams will be required to be at the venue for 10:30am. We aim to finish by 1:30pm. We would prefer players from P7 class although P6 children can be used to make up the numbers if need be.
Format:
• 9-a-side Competition.
• Schools may bring up to twelve 12 players as part of their playing squad.
• Games will be 15 mins in total, with teams changing ends at half time.
• Goals and points will both be worth 1pt.
• BAD Language / Foul Play will not be tolerated (Use of bad language will result in a player being asked to leave the playing area)
We will be limiting the intake to this blitz to 12 teams. Therefore places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
This blitz is open to Primary schools from Antrim, Armagh and Down. There will be NO winners or losers on the day, the aim of the blitz is for player development and to provide the experience of playing at Casement Park. Mentors should not be focusing on winning. Changing facilities will be provided. No food will be supplied so please advise all attending to bring their own packed lunch.
