Under 10 League up and running around the province

With the North Antrim Under 12 League finalised it was the turn of the Under 10 hurlers to get their campaign underway on Saturday last with teams from around the province competing a venues as far apart as Larne and Derry.
Ballycastle, who won the Under 12 title two weeks ago made a good start in their quest to make it a U10/U12 double when they came out on top at Cross & Passion College with Loughgiel 2 finishing second and Cushendall in third place.
At St Patrick’s College in Ballymena the local All Saints team shared top spot with Creggan with Con Magees Glenravel taking third place while in Ballymoney Loughgiel Shamrocks and Glenshesk shared top spot on 8 points each closely followed by Rasharkin on 7.
In Coleraine where the teams west of the Bann did battle Slaughtneill 2 were tops followed by Muff in second place and Owen Roe of Coleraine in third while in Derry Burt 2 finished ahead of Strabane and Letterkenny.
Up in Glengormley Ballygalget of Down came out on top ahead of Breda with Sarsfields in third while in Larne Glenariffe topped the table ahead of the host club with neighbours Glenarm Shane O’Neills in third.
In Swatragh Buncrana 2 finished in front of their Donegal rivals Carndonagh with the host team Swatragh in position.
Next Saturday sees another round of games with the top team in each section playing at the same venues to decide the line-up for finals day in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre on January 13th.
