Antrim’s Michael McCann has become the first Antrim player since 2000 to be nominated for a football All Star after yesterday’s announcement of the 2009 nominations.
‘Mick’ who has played in a number of positions during Antrim’s great run this summer is nominated in the full forward line in list which contains such illustrious names as Colm Gooch Cooper and Tommy Walsh of All Ireland champions Kerry, Daniel Goulding of Cork and Tyrone’s Stephen O’Neill.
