Antrim County Committee and County Management Committee learn with regret of the passing of a lifelong GAA stalwart, Arthur Forsythe.
A lifelong member of Shane O'Neill's, Arthur was an outstanding player for both club and county. When his playing days ended Arthur remained deeply involved in coaching, refereeing and administration. Notably he served one of the longest and most distingusihed terms as the chairman of the North Antrim Board.
Although Arthur had just recently been diagnosed with illness, his passing came unexpectedly. We extend our sympathy to his family andmembers and players of Shane O'Neill's.
As a mark of respect, this evening's Intermediate Hurling Championship match between Shane O'Neill's and St Gall's has been postponed.
