GAA - Cúl Camps 20029 - Kick off at Kickhams.

The value of GAA Cúl camps is uniquely and unquestionably unsurpassed, when measured in terms of value and equality of opportunity for all participating youngsters. These events are specifically geared to ensure balance and fairness, in terms of introducing young participants to the thrills and enjoyment of a controlled and safety conscious fun environment, involving Gaelic games.

For the third year running tens of thousands of children will be invited to attend and enjoy a week of fun packed coaching and skill based activity, without any undue element of winner takes all. Unfair or unbalanced competitive activity often has the adverse effect of harshly isolating vulnerable children but Cúl camps, by contrast, are strategically organized to be productive, protective and all inclusive.

PJ Ryan, Killkenny Senor Hurling Goalkeeper, will be in attendance at Creggan Kickams, for the launch of the 2009 games in Antrim on Saturday May 30th. All clubs owe it to their children to send at least one representative to this launch. The benefit of the information and knowledge sharing is a foundation stone, in terms of raising our games, so please ensure that your club is represented at this event.

Parents should also be encouraged to take some time out, to attend at least part of these forthcoming club events, helping as and where they can. Orderly child development is ultimately crucial to any stable community or society. These camps have a very positive impact upon child development and the establishment of sustainable values with proper integration of children, irrespective of their differing backgrounds, separate capabilities or individual talents.

Creggan Kickhams, situated about two miles outside of Randalstown, is in effect now a 'state of the art' Gaa campus. It is the ideal showcase for the opening of the 2009 Cúl Camp season and well worth a visit on Saturday May 30th. Once again, these are ‘all inclusive’ events, well managed and responsibly controlled, by qualified and trained personnel. The emphasis is upon fun learning, with fairness and equality of opportunity for all.
