Gaelic Telecom Celebrate 5 Years and Raising €36,589 for GAA Clubs and Schools in Co. Antrim
Gaelic Telecom began as a simple idea – saving GAA supporters money on their phone bills while raising money for grassroots GAA. Five years on, Gaelic Telecom has gone beyond everyone’s expectations generating €36,589 for Clubs and Schools in Antrim and almost €4 Million across the 32 Counties.
Between July and December of last year, GAA fans across Antrim have raised €7,114, taking 5% of the total Ulster payout.
Speaking in Croke Park today Ciaran Doyle, General Manager of Gaelic Telecom said “We are absolutely delighted to be able to support the thousands of Clubs and Schools that continue to benefit from this unique partnership. We understand the dedication, hard work and time given by all GAA volunteers. To be part of giving back €3.9 million to an organisation that we are all very passionate about, makes us feel very proud.
Nickey Brennan added that “In 5 years, to have given back EUR3.9 million is a testament to the work Gaelic Telecom has carried out with the organisation. This has been a fantastic partnership and continues to deliver much needed funding for our Clubs and Schools. I can only encourage all members and supporters of the organisation to join Gaelic Telecom”
Ciaran Doyle concludes, “Remember, behind each payment to a Club or School, is a list of ordinary members and supporters who have made the cheque possible by joining Gaelic Telecom. I encourage other GAA fans to join with us in generating even more funds for grassroots GAA throughout Ireland.
