Cushendall Ruairi Og won the North Antrim Under 10 Section 1 Indoor Hurling League title at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre on Saturday when they beat Loughgiel in an exciting final by 3 goals to 1.
Goals from Conal McAteer and Seamus Og McCurry gave Cushendall the early initiative but Loughgiel closed the gap with a well taken goal from Corey Blair just before half-time.
Loughgiel pushed for an equaliser and came close on a couple of occasions, but Murray Emerson eased the pressure with a cracking goal which put Cushendall 3-1 ahead with just two minutes left.
However the Cushendall fans got very little chance to relax as Loughgiel closed the gap to the minimum again with a goal from Shane McCaughan, but the Ruairis held out to seal the win and take the title.
In Section 2 Burt became the first Donegal side to claim glory when they beat Glenshesk in a fantastic game by 3 goal to 2 after extra time.
Glenshesk led by 1 goal to nil at half-time in normal time with a goal from Aaron McBride but Burt hit back in the second-half with goals Denver Kelly and Matthew McDermott to take the lead but Daniel Martin netted for Glenshesk to bring the game to extra time.
Denver Kelly was to prove the hero for the Donegal boys when he grabbed the winner to spark scenes of great celebration among the large Donegal following.
The Section 3 final was a really close affair with Pearses of Belfast just getting the better of Latharana Og from Larne, thanks to an unfortunate own goal.
In Section 4 All Saints Ballymena beat Carndonagh of Donegal by 3 goals to 1, the goals coming from Eamon Elliott, Ryan McGarry and Padhraig Magill, while Donal Doherty grabbed the Carndonagh goal.
In Section 5 McQuillan 2nd team just edged out St Enda’s in a really tight affair, the goal coming from Tiernan Donnelly, while in the Section 6 decider St Mary’s Rasharkin beat Burt 2nds by 2 goals to 1 thanks to goals from Callum Scullion.
