Currently the Master-Plan for the Centre of Excellence is awaiting a decision from the Planning authorities. It is vital that if we are going to achieve our goal of developing this project that we are in a position to avail of every funding opportunity possible.
This includes the current funding being released from Sports NI for projects that include the development of grass pitches and 3G type surfaces with floodlighting, provided these projects are completed by 31st March 2010.
Therefore, there is an urgency to ensure that as much support for the Centre of Excellence is expressed to the Planning Service to ensure that an expeditious and positive decision is granted.
Attached is a draft/template letter that is being sent to all clubs and schools throughout the county. We would request that clubs, schools and other associated organisations use this draft or something similar, to submit a letter expressing their support for this project.
