Why is the wrong place to discuss the South Antrim web-site????

Yes, it is becuase we have nothing to do with administering this site. Clearly all you want to do is lambast and criticise, but what positive contribution are you making to assist South Antrim? None whatsoever we suspect and as you choose to anonymously criticse, we will not be posting any more of your diatribe.

I think the rules are great. I think in time they will allow the skillful players to shine even more and will allow more scoring chances during a game. The game will become faster and begin to flow more as players tackling won't be so quick to chop these players down and risk being sent to the line. Though I do think it makes the Referees job even harder.

It will be interesting to see what effect these have once the players and refs, get up to speed but is it just me or is it quite a bit for a ref to keep on top of re. the blacks. I know top refs will have been consulted but what do our local refs think.

The rules currently are only applicable to inter-county games at senior level and their are no plans to extend beyond this at this stage.

These new hurling rules are ridiculous. Surely they wont be in forced in championship??

They might very well be. Have you nothing to say as to why you think they are ridiculous?

Can i not move clubs?

Not according to the motion passed at convention unless you meet some of the requirements that would allow a transfer.

Not that we have been told.

Does anyone know from what date the bye law passed at convention which restricts transfers of juveniles between clubs within the county comes into force?

It is into immediate effect from the end of Convention as far as we know.

why "obviously not"?

as far as i'm aware, players who have made the panel have been informed, so i assume it has been finalised???

i was merely asking if the complete panel could be posted?

You seem to know more than us then! This information will be posted when it is given to us and not as a results of a request where "..as far as I am aware players were informed..." etc. There is far too much rumour and gossip already in this county. Once panels are finalised, trials are to be held and fixtures are released, they will be posted on this site and not before then.

Do you know if the Minor and U16 fixtures are also about to be released with the senior fixtures?

No we don't, but we suspect that they wont be ready at the same time. Remember, CCC is made up entirely of volunteers who have their day jobs to attend to as well.

has the senior hurling panel been announced, following the final trial yesterday?

Obviously not.

You say that the fixtures are nearly ready to go. By this I take that they are nearly ready to go to the clubs for consultation and for their agreement on these. You kept repeating this mantra last year when people complained about them, by telling posters that after all the clubs had agreed to them.

So I take it that clubs will have this opportunity to 'rubber stamp' the fixtures for this year before they are finally confirmed by CCC?

Of course they will - as they do every year. CCC don't confirm the fixtures, they just have the hassle of making them and administering them. County Committee (the clubs) confirm the fixtures!
